Kaitlin Finney, MSN, WHNP-BC
Kaitlin Finney is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing compassionate, individualized care to women throughout every stage of life. She values creating an environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions, discussing their concerns, and taking an active role in their health care.
Kaitlin brings extensive experience in both obstetric and gynecologic care. Her clinical background includes comprehensive well-woman exams, prenatal and postpartum care, family planning, contraception, cervical cancer screening, menopause management, and the evaluation and treatment of conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, and sexually transmitted infections. She is also experienced in office-based procedures including IUD and Nexplanon insertion and removal, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, and ultrasound-guided procedures. Throughout her career, Kaitlin has placed a strong emphasis on patient education and counseling, helping patients better understand their health and the treatment options available to them.
Kaitlin earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Women’s Health from Vanderbilt University and became a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She previously earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her professional experience includes providing women’s health care at Vanderbilt Medical Center for Women’s Health and Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, as well as caring for postoperative women’s health patients as a registered nurse at Ascension Saint Thomas.
In addition to caring for her own patients, Kaitlin enjoys contributing to the next generation of women’s health providers through clinical education and mentorship. She has precepted nursing students and new graduate nurse practitioners and values collaboration among physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to provide thoughtful, comprehensive care.
